How I Read Books Tag

Hello, tag time 😀

Original creator of this tag is not known. There are a few potential sources. If you know, let me know.

1. How do you find out about new books to read?
A mix between friend recommendations, booktube, blogs, goodreads, random browsing… a lot of ways.

2. How did you get into reading?
I’ve been a reader since I was little. Even before I could read, my parents and grandma would read to me. It was always something I looked forward to doing with them.

3. How has your taste in books changed as you’ve gotten older?
I’m a lot more picky about the romance aspect. I’m better at recognizing bad relationships in a book when they’re romanticized. That, and the length of books I’m willing to read has gotten bigger. Had you asked me to read Game of Thrones ten years ago, I would have laughed and laughed.

4. How often do you buy books?
At the moment, not very often. I might get one book a month right now, maybe. Unless there’s a library sale or something like that, I tend to not be a big spender. Once I get employment that’ll probably change.

5. How did you get into Book reviewing?
I found a community on youtube first, and decided I wanted to do something like that. But I’m also horrendously camera shy and I feel I don’t have the time to commit to filming a lot, so a blog was my end choice – it’s a lot more relaxed in my opinion and I don’t have to worry about people commenting on my appearance or how incredibly messy my apartment is. :”D Maybe I’ll make a youtube someday, but if I do, it won’t be until after I graduate.

6. How do you react when you don’t like the end of a book?
Sigh, groan, throw book, sigh, pick up book, sigh, put on shelf, sigh, sigh sigh sigh

7. How often do you take a “sneak peak” at the end of a book to see if there is a happy ending?
I don’t look for a happy ending persay, but it’s really hard to resist reading the last sentence of a book. I’ve totally spoiled myself this way and have yelled at myself for it, but I can’t help iiiit D:

8. Who are you going to tag?
Panda, Ace, Analee

PS: If I tag you in things and you don’t like me tagging you, tell me and I’ll stop xD (Except you Ace, you have no choice)

  1. I totally agree with the book buying thing. No matter how generous my parents are I can never go on a whim and buy books very often. I need my own money to be that reckless. When people(over booktube) are like omg this book was so pretty and it’s like 10 dollars so I bought it and I am like old joke friends. Seriously I never find it convincing enough but I know it’s just me . And believe me book hauls are my favourite things on youtube and I am weird that way. :/
Also, I prefer the blog world in comparison to booktube. I find it more helpful and it’s lucid and convenient. Like you can skip and read what you’d like. Explore more and meet more people. It’s fun. Plus the thing about being creative. Blogs are cute and meaningful. 🙂

  2. I’ve also loved to read since I’ve been a child! ❤ Although there isn't really a particular person in my family who loves to read… I have no idea where my love of books came from! And a book a month! Nice! I'm going way low on money since I've been spending quite a bit on books, oops. However most of the books I buy are on sale for a great deal, so i just can't resist! Thanks for tagging me! 😀
