It is over! After seven days, the bout of books 14 readathon is over. I got off to a really rocky start, but I feel like I did really well towards the end. To avoid deja vu later when writing my monthly wrap-up, I’m not going to go in depth of what I read. Just gonna mention it.
First off, here is my participation announcement and goals post and my progress post that I kept up throughout the readathon.
And here is what I managed to read during this past week:
Audiobooks:
1 hour of The Martian by Andy Weir – I finished this book! Here is my review
5 hours 4 minutes of Yes Please! by Amy Poehler – I have about two hours or so of this one left to listen to.
Physical books:
25 pages of Beauty Queens by Libba Bray – this book was making me slumpy. Will resume it now that the readathon is over.
216 pages of A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness – I finished this one too! Didn’t write a review though. Thoughts will be in monthly wrap-up.
204 pages of Legend by Marie Lu – I feel that I’ll finish this one up today.
6 pages of Life, The Universe, and Everything by Douglas Adams.
Totals: 6 hours, 4 minutes of listening, 451 pages read.
The challenges I completed were:
The Four Seasons Book Cover Challenge
The Book Road Trip Challenge
The What to Read Next Challenge
The Book Scavenger Hunt Challenge
My goals for this readathon were:
– Read at least 100 pages every day
– Finish at least 3 books
– Participate in at least half of the challenges
Well, totally didn’t do the top one – I had 0 pages read for the first two days. I’m hoping I made up enough for it in the last five though from all the audiobooks and stuff I added in.
The second one, I was close. I finished two books and am close to finishing a third.
And the bottom one, I COMPLETED. WHOO. I DID 4 OUT OF 7.
So yay, I’m calling this readathon a success :”D I can’t wait for the next one.
