Books for the plane!

Books for the plane.png

Hello! At this time this is posted, it’s August 5th! But now as I’m currently writing, it’s July 27th!

I’m pre-writing a bunch of posts because (as I’ve likely mentioned a couple times now) on August 1st, I’m getting married! And then August 2nd, I’m hopping on a plane to go to Hawaii for my honeymoon! And me being me, I’m gonna read on the plane ride there and back (and maybe during downtime, too, but we’ll see).

So I’ve decided to write a post about the books I plan on bringing with me (assuming any that I’m currently reading don’t get finished before my flight).

All three are books on my 17 in 2017 list, so if I’m able to finish them all, that would be swell. :”D

Dragon Wing by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman – I found this one randomly in my old college’s ‘two for a dollar’ sale shelf. I acutlaly found all the books in the series except the second one (which I’ve since acquired…). I’ve heard this series is super good, so I’m hoping I’ll love it.

14 by Peter Clines – I read The Fold by Clines a year or two ago and it has become one of my favorite books. Apparently this book is a companion novel-prequel kind of thing. Like, I was supposed to read this one first. Whoops. Well, I’m gonna read it now instead. πŸ˜›

The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness – I bought this book as soon as it came out but never actually picked it up (whoops). Considering I’ve loved everything I’ve read by Ness so far, I’m hoping this one follows the pattern. :”DThe Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #1)

(Not pictured) The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss – Not pictured because it’s an audiobook and I used my phone to take the above photo… can’t really use phone to take picture of cover in phone. πŸ˜› So not pictured. Currently, I’m about 1/3 through this, so I’m not sure how far I’ll be into it by the 2nd of August. I’m hoping to finish this super soon – I’m loving it so far, it’s just so great! πŸ˜€

And that’s it! Ideally, I’ll finish all of these. Whatever I don’t get to will become an informal TBR or sorts. Wish me luck and see you all on August 16th when I get back. :”D

You must be having such a great time now πŸ™‚ how long are your flights?

I am always reading on short flights (up to 4 hours) but for some reason I can’t do it on longer ones.

An audiobook sounds like a great idea, I will try it on my next long flight!

Hope you are still enjoying ‘The name of the wind’ πŸ™‚

Two hours then eight hours. Not awful but still kinda sucky. If you do I highly recommend noise canceling headphones or you’ll have the volume way too high to cover the plane noise up and you’ll hurt your ears D:
