January Book and Manga Haul! #46

Happy end of January! Technically I have about a week left but I don’t have any plans to get any more books soon, so I’m posting today.

I got six books and manga this month, two of which I’ve already read!

Mob Psycho 100 vol 1 by ONE – This is a paranormal action comedy about psychics. I loved the anime so I’m pumped to try out the manga

Moriarty the Patriot vol 1 by Ryosuke Takeuchi – This manga tells the story of Moriarty from the Sherlock Holmes series. I heard the anime was good so going to try this!

The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie – This’ll be my first Abercrombie book and I’m pumped. Planning on buddy reading this with Zezee @Zezeewithbooks

If We Were Villains by M. L. Rio – Already read this! It was one of my favorite books from 2020 and I needed to get myself a copy.

From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout – If I’m being honest, there’s only about a 50-50 chance of me liking this, but even if I dislike it, I know I’ll enjoy the experience of reading it. I have no idea if that makes sense.

Yana Toboso Artworks Black Butler vol 2 by Yana Toboso – I “read” this one too, right after picking it up. It’s various arts from the author. It contains art both from within the manga series, some of the filler characters and from what I can see, extra artworks not appearing elsewhere. There are some descriptions of the art but otherwise it’s mostly pictures. This is volume 2 mind you – volume 1 I can’t find in English anywhere (but if you see it, lemme know). This art book was lovely and just what I wanted.

And that’s it! This is a normal sized haul again after the huge one that was post-Christmas. I’m hoping to keep the rest of the year around this size too, if not smaller. Wish me luck! If you’ve read any of the above or are interested in a buddy read, let me know!
