30 Days of Music: 13,14,15 – Blogmas 12/3

Day 13: A song you like from a genre you don’t.

Kiss Me in the Dark by Randy Rogers band. Guys, I hate country music. I haaaaaaaate country music. By all logic, I should hate this song. But for some reason that I cannot fathom, I do not hate it. I actually kinda like it. No idea, don’t ask me.

Day 14: Your favorite song from a musical (or opera.)

So something else I typically don’t like aside from country music is musicals. Moulin Rouge is the only one I like. And it happens to be my all time favorite movie ever. I LOVE this movie. And this scene. The choreography alone makes it dazzling, the gravely voice combined with the clean one make it chill-inducing. Bwaaaah. ❤ El Tango De Roxanne from Moulin Rouge

Day 15: A song you like to dance to (or makes you want to dance.)

Saeed by Infected Mushroom. This song makes me wanna wiggle around a bunch. I can’t dance, but that doesn’t stop me from doing it anyway!

That’s all for today! If you’d like to join it, feel welcome to!

This is the 1/3 way point, hurray! If you’d like to join, go for it!

10 – A song that makes you feel better when you’re down

Radio Nowhere by Bruce Springsteen. Before you say anything, Bruce Springsteen is awesome. And if you don’t think so, you’re just wrong. 😛 This song in particular is just so catchy and makes me happy. 😀

11 – Your favorite instrumental song

Wheel of Time by Blind Guardian. Every time I discover more Blind Guardian music, I realize they’re nerdier and nerdier than I thought. This song is obviously a play on Robert Jordan’s series and they have a whole album dedicated to The Lord of the Rings… it’s so fantastic. :”D I love them more and more every time I listen.

12 – A song you’re ashamed you like

There aren’t any songs I’m ashamed of liking. If I like it, I like it. So I guess I’m going to pick a song a like that if you would know my typical music tastes, you might be surprised that I like? I guess? This song is definitely out there, haaaa. NO SHAME. Malchik Gay by TaTu

30 Day of Music: 7,8,9

Continuing on! If you’d like to join it, feel free to!

7 – A song you like to listen to on max volume

Disturbed’s cover of The Sound of Silence, originally be Simon and Garfunkel. His voice, it is amazing. You can’t listen to this song without getting shivers. You NEED to blast it.

8 – Your favorite metal song

White Pearl, Black Oceans by Sonata Arctica. This song was actually my inspiration for my Nano novel this year! Though I didn’t want to use it for prompt #9 just because of the story in the song – it’s not exactly a positive one.

9 – A song that inspires you

This one is a bit out of my usual listening range, but I’m picking Counting Stars by One Republic. I suppose it doesn’t inspire me persay, but for some reason when I listen to it, I feel really productive. I start cleaning or doing homework. It’s like my anti-procrastination song. I’m sure you’ve heard it. If you haven’t, listen to it!

And that’s all she wrote for today!

30 Days of Music: 4,5,6

Today are prompts 4, 5, and 6. If you’d like to join in and do the prompts yourself, you’re very welcome to!

4 – Your favorite humorous song

Haaah, my mind immediately goes to Vodka by Korpiklaani. This song man, I feel like this song should narrate my life sometimes. Just sometimes. But listen to this and try not to say ‘What the hell am I listening to’ and then find yourself singing it later anyways.

5 – Your favorite dark (or macabre) song

That would be Scaretale by Nightwish. This is from their Imaginaerum album, which the whole album essentially screams ‘macabre circus’. So this is the macabre-iest of them all. And for this album actually, they made a movie to go along with it. It’s very neat and very dark at times. So this is the scene from the movie where this song is played:

6 – A song that’s special to you and someone else

This is another song from a movie, the Diva Song from The Fifth Element. I grew up watching this movie because my mother loved it so much. This song man, it. is. incredible. You think it’s just gonna be your average opera song, but noooope. Whenever this movie would be on tv, no matter what all of us were doing in the house, we’d all run in and watch this part. It’s fantastic. :”D So it’s special to me and my entire family. (And if you haven’t seen The Fifth Element, go watch it)

That’s all for today. Hopefully you haven’t heard of some of these and found yourself liking them (Or completely hating them) either way, makes for good conversation. 😀 Until next time.

30 Days of Music: 1,2,3

Hello! I was tagged by Amanda  @LadyCorvinous to do the 30 days of Music tag! I’m going to bump mine down to ten days though, and do 3 prompts per post. :”D (and yay, now I have some material for Blogmas). I figured music would be a good break from books, as my reading has slowed down due to Nanowrimo. I will put the full list of prompts at the end of the post if you’re interested in doing it as well (or if you’re tagged by me 😛 ) So the first three prompts are happening now!

1 – The last song you listened to.

Car Radio by Twenty One Pilots. This song is way outside of my usual listening. I actually listened to it because Amanda used it as her song for the second prompt. :”D So I figured I should listen to it. I dig it.

2 – Your Favorite Song of all.

Do you know how hard this question is?! Goodness. I have six or seven ‘Favorite songs’. So, looking through the rest of the prompts, I’m going to pick the one I don’t think will be used otherwise: Ever Dream by Nightwish

3 – Your favorite love song.

And this is another one of my ‘favorite songs’s that I saw would be used otherwise, haha. Everlong by the Foo Fighters Every time I hear this one, I get all sigh-y and nostalgic-y and just.. wahh ❤

And that’s it for today! The next three will be up sooner or later. If you’re interested in doing this type of post, go for it! Otherwise, I tag Ace, Orangu-tan Librarian and Panda. Do it. o:<

So let me know if we have similar music tastes! Or let me know if you hate my tastes! Both will make for fun conversation. :”D
