Christmas Decorations Set Up 2021 | Blogmas Day 7

It’s Tuesday! Today’s post was supposed to be my fantasy bingo update but Goodreads is currently down and I kinda need it so I’ll be making that post on the 9th instead. So today will be my set up for Christmas decorations!

I went a bit nutso this year. I also inherited all of my grandmother’s decorations from when she passed away this summer… so hanging them up was bittersweet. It made the whole place smell like her for a bit.

Anyways, this is what I got this year

What do you think! I think it came out pretty nice, though now my entire living room has this bluey glow to it. The lights I bought are pretty intense, man.

Until tomorrow!

Thanksgiving decorations 2020!

I decorated for Thanksgiving this year, which is something I’ve never done. I used being stuck inside my house because of the plague as an excuse to get extra festive because I won’t have anyone visiting to be festive with otherwise.

So this is everything I set up!

As you can see it’s mainly my livingroom that’s decked out. Christmas decorations will spread to other rooms but since this is my first time decorating for Thanksgiving, I didn’t have too many things to decorate with. The flowers are on my kitchen table, but other that that, it’s all in the main living area.

Let me know what you think! I think it came out pretty nice if I do say so myself.

Christmas Decorations and Holiday Scents 2019

Blogmas 2019

Happy Blogmas Day 6!

If you remember from my Blogmas announcement post, I was going to post a ‘Holiday Scents’ thing and a ‘Christmas Decorations’ thing. Well, I’ve decided to combine them, so here we go! This is my decorations set up for this year:

I’ve got the tree, my mantle and my book room decked out. I’m rather liking how the tree turned out in particular.

And for this scents, these are all the Christmasy/Fall-y/Winter-y candles I’ve got going this year:

Needless to say, my house smells pretty damn good right now.

The left photo are the candles on my mantle in the living room, and the right photo are those in my book room. I think my favorite is the one fare to the left in the first photo, the caramel pecan one. ❤

And as a bonus, here’s a couple of my cat enjoying the season:

And that’s it! Simple post, but colorful! If you’ve decorated and care to share, lemme see!

Top 5 bookshelf collectibles

Copy of Top 5 Wednesday Banner, Happy Hump Day! Today’s topic is top collectibles on the bookshelf, whether they be collectible books, decorations, etc. I’m hoping the ones that I picked turn out to be a bit unique. But who knows, I might be totally unoriginal. Onto the things!

If you would like to participate in T5W, you can do so here!

McGonagall’s wand

I went to Harry Potter world this past October, and I picked up McGonagall’s wand! It stays in its box, because I don’t trust myself not to break it.

The Fullmetal Alchemist pocket watch

…and action figures and staff. My sister got me the pocket watch as a gift one year and I absolutely adore it. While not directly on my bookshelves, it’s on a display shelf right next to them. 3 Oct. Don’t forget.

Globe bookends

These were a gift from my parents for Christmas two years ago. I had no idea something like this even existed. I almost cried when I got them though. They’re fully functioning – they spin and everything. I. Love. Them.

Sonata Arctica drumstick

Sonata Arctica is one of my favorite bands – I’m particularly a fan of their older stuff. Once upon a time, I went to their concert and was pretty damn close to the front of the stage (another time I was at the front, but that’s a different story). At the end, the drummer threw sticks he had used and yours truly caught one. You can see, it’s all beat up.

I don’t know what it is, but I really like the aesthetic of these things. I bought them a long time ago, back in 2008 or so, from a store called Earth Bound, which has since closed down, at least in my area. Man, I love these masks.

And that’s it! I don’t have too much on my shelves, but what I do have, I really like. Happy reading!

Christmas Decorations Tour!

Blogmas 2018

Hi! I’m two white Russians deep – currently Friday night, and I kinda sorta decorated my house for Christmas this year! Look look!

I also got a new phone recently – a Google Pixel 3. All of the above shots were taken in a dark room. Except for the string lights in the photo, the room was dark. I’m obsessed with how well night shots come out, man. I absolutely love it.

Until tomorrow! Current-me wishes tomorrow-morning-when-this-is-posted-me a happy sleep, because I’ll probably be hung over (white russians are so good).

Happy reading!
