The Book Sacrifice Tag

I was tagged to do a tag! So here’s the tag! Thank you Orang-utan Librarian for slapping me with this tag. :”D

An Over-Hyped Book:

Situation: You’re in a store when the zombie apocalypse hits. The military informs everyone that over-hyped books are the zombies only weakness. What book that everyone else says is amazing but you disliked do you start chucking at the zombies?

Eragon (The Inheritance Cycle, #1)Eragon by Christopher Paolini. Maybe the dragons will hold them off.

A Sequel:

Situation: torrential downpour. What sequel are you willing to use as an umbrella to protect yourself?

The Atlantis Complex (Artemis Fowl, #7)Artemis Fowl: The Atlantis Complex by Eoin Colfer. And I say this, but it makes me sad. 😦 Artemis Fowl was and is one of my favorite series growing up, but with each book, it just got… worse. xD This one, the seventh one, is the one that I just couldn’t finish. There are eight total, and I will never get to number eight.

A Classic:

Situation: You’re in English class and your professor raves about a Classic that “transcends time”. If given the opportunity to travel back in time, which Classic would you try to stop from ever publishing?

A Clockwork OrangeA Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess. I’m likely not the only one who thinks this, but this book man. The main character is an asshole with no redeemable features, the plot is wonky. It’s just… ick. This book left a fowl taste in my mouth.

A Least Favorite Book:

Situation: apparently global warming = suddenly frozen wasteland. Your only hope of survival for warmth is to burn a book. Which book will you not regret lighting?

Fight ClubFight Club by Chuck Palahniuk. Didn’t like this book. Didn’t like this movie. At least it would have some use if I burned it. (Not that I would ever burn it unless it was absolutely necessary, but it’ll be top of my list)

Hopefully I didn’t make anyone mad. But whatevs. :”D I enjoyed this tag. Not gonna tag anyone else, but do it if you’d like to!
